An update on the Angel Centre redevelopment & possible relocation

A fundamental problem which needs to be resolved is what do we do with the Angel Centre which most people agree is tired and past its sell-by-date (as confirmed by our own survey of residents). We want to see it replaced with a civic centre including state-of-the-art leisure facilities close to the current site.

Conservative incompetence leaves the council £1.9M out of pocket

Tonbridge Green Party has always opposed the sale of borough council-owned property without the consent of residents. We were shocked when we found out that the property had been sold to River Walk House Ltd for only £1.515m as we believed it had been undervalued. After the building had been demolished and land flattened, we have now discovered that in just a year the property has now been sold on by Riverwalk House to Sorbon Developments for £3,450,000.
